I found this little one on a trail in the Adkins Arboretum, outside Ridgely, MD. This frog is actually three feet up off of the ground. It was perfectly happy sitting in its little "pond" nestled in the cavity of a Tulip Poplar tree. One third of the tree had fallen off in the past and this "pond" was made in the hollow that was left. And I was more than happy to take advantage of this convenience. I was hoping to create the perspective of being there in the water looking at it, so I only had to get down on one knee to capture the image. It made shooting from this angle extremely easy. I am not sure if this is called "cheating" or "luck", but I'll take it when I can get it.

It's official. Spring truly has arrived. I went out last night and heard the heralds of Spring croaking in the distance. The Spring Peepers are back. So in their honor, I present this image of a frog.
