Portrait Of A Heron
What a beautiful bird!
BIRDSFALLTUCKAHOE STATE PARKADKINS ARBORETUMPORTRAIT

I have recently tried to photograph "Fall" on the Mid Shore. It's such a broad subject matter. It could be a combine bringing in this year's corn. It could be a maple or gum tree turning on their brilliant fall colors. It could be the low lying fog over the farm fields on a cool autumn morning. I am lucky to have two wonderful natural resources located minutes from my house. Tuckahoe State Park and Adkins Arboretum are gems located on the Tuckahoe Creek, outside of Ridgely, Md. Whether you want to sleep under the stars or just take in the beauty of the local native plants and trees on trails through a mature forest, you can spend as long as you want enjoying the wonders of this unique natural habitat. And of course, wildlife is drawn to these areas. This heron seemed more than happy to model for me while I was visiting the Tuckahoe pond. I have just added this image to the BONUS VSIONS collection. BTW, definitely look for this character in the upcoming 2025 BUGEYE VISIONS Calendar.
