Oyster Bay At Dawn, pt 1

It was a beautiful sunrise that day on Oyster Bay. The sky was mostly sunny and the breeze was very light. The sun had just broken the horizon and the world around us was waking up. I saw a flock of White Ibises coming and I waited for them to pass by. I wanted to include them in this landscape image.

But Chincoteague Island was just too busy that morning to have one picture do it justice. This is only a part of a larger scene that I really wanted to capture. Since it didn’t work out quite as planned, for this image I decided to let the ibises flying through the morning sky be the subject. The rest of the view that was in front us and not seen in this image will be revisited again as part 2, later this year in November’s blog post.
