This past January the area was blanketed with a light snow. I had the good fortune of having Dottie being able to accompany me on a field trip. There was a place of interest that always caught my eye and I wanted to give it a try on this snowy day. And since it is on the way to Oxford, MD we decided to continue the ride and enjoy the scenery.

Oxford will always be a special place for me. My first jellyfish sting (I always call them sea nettles) came in the waters of the Tred Avon River when you were able to swim off the beach that used to be at the park. While not enjoyable, it was definitely memorable. In Oxford, I met and worked with some amazing people who had a huge influence in my life. While cutting grass out of the back of a pickup was very lucrative for this teenager in high school, it was in Oxford that I got my first formal job as well. And what a lucky break for me. Dottie worked at the Town Creek Restaurant too! While we had been introduced before, it was during this time that our love blossomed and we would go on to become one. So going back to Oxford is always nostalgic and fun for the both of us.

Before leaving Oxford, we stopped and I took this image of The Church Of The Holy Trinity. It's a Pentacostal church with a cool history that sits on the Tred Avon River. I have always admired the architecture of the building. I saw the building that day and thought that it would be good in the black and white format. While I was not completely happy with what I set out to capture on this journey, I was very pleased that I captured this image. And this ties back in with the Steve's Second Law Of Photography. While I did not manage to capture the image I wanted, I was still in the right place at the right time to capture an image that I really like.
