A Cosmos blossom
In honor of everyone who has spent the past two months being outside and making their yard/space a more beautiful place I give you an image of a Cosmos.

I love morning and evening light. It’s not as bright as midday sunshine which causes issues with shadows and highlights. In this image, the sun had just risen and the dew had not evaporated yet. A row of Thujas were blocking the early morning sunlight, so I used them as the background. The green background ended up reminding me of my old favorite worn out and long gone tie-dye t-shirt. It is also this pop of green in the background that makes the Cosmos blossom stand out.
Spring is the season for renewal. So, in honor of everyone who has spent the past two months being outside and making their yard/space a more beautiful place I give you an image of a Cosmos blossom. All of the flowers that are blooming now is the reward for your time invested. What a shame that the Cosmos is not a perennial plant. The flowers are so beautiful. And pollinators love them too.
